Korneel Loones
Founder — Loones Automation
Korneel Loones is a freelance automation engineer with more than 15 years of hands-on experience in large-scale manufacturing environments. His work focuses on PLC software engineering, commissioning and start-up of automated production systems, primarily in the automotive industry.
With a dual academic background in electromechanical engineering (automation) and applied economics, he combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic business perspective. His approach emphasises engineering decisions grounded in production reality and aligned with project objectives.
Since founding Loones Automation in 2012, he has been working as an independent engineer, supporting manufacturers and engineering teams with PLC software development, commissioning and automation project coordination. In recent years, his work has increasingly focused on bridging classical industrial automation with modern data analysis and AI-driven methods.
